Τη Δευτέρα 15.05.2023 στο μάθημα της Καθηγήτριας Μαρίας Παπαπαύλου "Μουσικές του Κόσμου" θα πραγματοποιήσει διάλεξη ο Dr. Juan Francisco Galan Murcia από το Catedrático de Etnomusicología en el Conservatorio Superior de Música "Manuel Massotti Littel" de Murcia (Ισπανία). Η διάλεξη θα γίνει 12:00-15:00 στην αίθουσα 742, στην αγγλική γλώσσα και θα είναι εμπλουτισμένη με μουσικά παραδείγματα και μουσικές καταγραφές.

Flamenco and Ethnomusicology: Introduction to the musical characteristics, rhythmic structures and different styles of a Spanish musical genre

Theoretical-practical lecture that will begin with a brief historical contextualization of flamenco, a sample of the historical sources for research in this music genre and a detailed explanation on the classification of its different flamenco styles based on musical criteria (rhythm, harmony, melody, geography and functionality). It will be exemplified with sound examples and musical transcriptions.
